Garden Gnomes
Artsy Records is turning 10, so Arttu Partinen asked a bunch of artist's to join the celebratory compilation called World of Artsy. My track Garden Gnomes has been part of my live set for a couple of years, but I was delighted about the excuse to release it into the wild in digital format! I made it with Arturia MiniBrute and Casio CZ-1000 after discovering the - to me very Garden-Gnome-esque - main sound of the track, while playing around with the Casio's settings.

Music for videos
I made some music and audio for Sara Kovamäki's videos Kanto and Juuret and my song The End from the album Of Epic Proportions was used on the video Talventörröttäjät. Sara Kovamäki made the gorgeous videos and Jessi-Juulia Rouhiainen performed on them. I was very happy to collaborate with my oldest friend, Jessi, even though it was through videos – I came into the project at the very end with audio!
Sara Kovamäki's Open studio - Daphne exhibition was at Galleria Huuto 12.2.-8.3.2026. There was also an event for performances on 28.2.2026.
Of Epic Proportions
Of Epic Proportions is a soundtrack for adventures and quests. The melancholic melodies and nostalgic synth sounds accompany the wayfarer on their journey through unknown lands and unimaginable challenges! Danger lurks everywhere and it can only be defeated with the power of the magic item!
Wandering in nature, Sunday morning cartoons and listening to synth soundtracks among other cosy activities amount to the melodic nostalgia of my first solo album Of Epic Proportions. It was made with Casio CZ-1000, Arturia MiniBrute and Korg X5.
The album was released October 6, 2023 on Artsy Records. The cassette is sold out, but the album is available digitally on Bandcamp. You can listen to the album and follow me here: maijujouppi.bandcamp.com.
